At the start of the project, farmers are provided with a solar-run device called Solar Media from Mama Layla.
This device has information on farming practices with vivid illustrations and instructions in several local languages to help them improve their knowledgebase on agriculture.
The farmers get education on previously unknown effective farming practices such as; making furrows on the farm, applying manure, effective weeding, storage of the harvest and many more.
Along with the farming education from Solar Media, the farmers also receive regular agronomy support from the project agronomist who instructs and closely guides them throughout the farming cycle.
With the help of our financial partners, Kingdom Bank also provided financial assistance to the farmers. With the loans, they are able to purchase high-grade quality farm inputs (fertiliser, pesticides, seeds) from our partners, Syngenta and Yara.
