Prior to the start of the project, Mama Layla together with its partners, met local farmers where we explained the benefits of joining the project and how it would be run.

Farm Inspections
Following the meeting, Mama Layla carried on with the crucial step of inspecting the participating farmers’ land. In one instance, we segmented two acres after expert testing assured us of the fertility and optimum chemical balance in the soil, ensuring a bounty harvest.

Our teams worked on the preparation of the farm and since it was equipped with a borehole, with water suitable for irrigation, the farm would be irrigated using basin irrigation method.
