Empowering Beach Operators

There’s plenty of beach operators along the coastal hotels who, because of poverty, are looking for ways to make an income. 

Mama Layla and its partners have created a program that will empower beach operators with life skills as a long-term solution to make them earn a livelihood and better their lives.

Through the use of the Solar Media and educative content, we aim at providing the beach operators with the following life skills:-
1. Skills on being tour guides. Coastal hotels can absorb the beach operators as licensed guides taking visitors on cultural village tours.
2. Skills on sowing uniforms for the hotel staff.
3. Skills such as making soap and paper bags from the moringa plant.
4. Skills on farming – partner with hotels and have the farmers supply fruits & vegetables.
